The VELOX 409xx – DETECTOR SERIES range of intelligent addressable detectors delivers powerful fire detection using optical, heat, or multi-criteria sensing technologies. These detectors respond rapidly to a wide spectrum of fire types, from slow smoldering to fast high-energy fires—and everything in between.

Using VELOX’s Variable Time Communication Protocol, the detectors automatically adjust communication speed to reduce interference from environmental noise, ensuring stable and reliable communication with the panel.

Each device features dual-color LEDs for clear status indication (healthy or alarm), magnetic testing, and nine LPCB-approved sensitivity levels for precise performance. The patented double dust trap, paired with automatic drift compensation, enables consistent operation—even in harsh environments.

The detectors also supply up to 20mA of direct current to power external devices like relays or magnetic holders. Fully addressable, up to 240 detectors can connect on a 2 km loop, making the 409xx range ideal for large-scale installations.

VELOX supports the detectors with weatherproof surface-mounted bases or indoor bases, offering versatility for a wide range of applications.
